Fallujah – The Flesh Prevails (2014)

This band has come a long way since they started. Right from the get go, this starts off with space ambient sounds in “Starlit Path”, creeping in with a trembling bass riff, and then it just knocks you on your chest and leaves you speechless from there. Fallujah have joined the ranks among bands like Mithras, Augury and Ulcerate by providing the fury of death metal with all of its riffs, solos and double bass whilst invoking a surreal aura to compliment it all. If there’s one modern death metal band to keep an eye out in this day and age, make it these guys. I’ll likely be talking more about them soon as I own all of their works from The Harvest Wombs and beyond.
